Our original goal was to help promote local D/FW/ and Texas talent in all formats, actors, film makers, stand up comedy, music, magic or any person of interest or unusual "other" talent. In addition to our original goal, we hope to arrive at a place where we can attract national guest who either live in or may travel to D/FW for work, and fuse the two together.
Our secondary goal is to bring back the fun of late night television. With the current political climate, a majority of late night talk shows seem to have become a one dimensional political platform, which seems to us, can’t help but eliminate at least 50% of its potential audience. Late Night Texas on the other hand, wants to include everyone, to make our audience feel comfortable watching the show. You will see, here at Late Night Texas, we do not do jokes just to take a “jab”, but try to make them funny in a creative way so that everyone will enjoy the jokes without serving up pap, even the political ones.
Today with more and more stations re-broadcasting TV shows from the past, or, “the good old days” (with success), so to speak, we here at Late Night Texas believes there is a wide audience out there looking for a new current late night talk show with that comfortable “good old days” feel. We are all about having fun, and want our audience and guest alike to do the same.
Newton N. Minow once said in a speech to the national association of broadcasters that "when television is good, nothing - not the magazines or the newspapers - nothing is better. But when television is bad, nothing is worse. I invite each of you to sit down in front of your own television set and when your station goes on the air and stay there, for the day, without a book , without a magazine, without a newspaper, without a profit and loss sheet or a rating book to disturb you. Keep your eyes glued to that set until the station signs off. I can assure you that what you will observe is a VAST WASTELAND".
Well, I wonder what Mr. Minow might say about the internet? Probably the same thing, except he might call it an infinite wasteland. With that in mind, we're going to try and bring some fun and entertainment the "old school way" to this very wasteland.

What folks are saying about the show.
"Keep at it. I admire your initiative to make your own show. Stand-up is not easy and your style reminds me of watching Jay Leno sometimes.....yet, I like you much better."
"Not an easy task and you make it look easy and fun. Big Congrats!"
"I LOVE the show!! You are a better host than anyone on late night talk. Leno style. Much better than Letterman and O'Brien. No kidding. Love this stuff!"
"i really like it. it's super american in a sort of hidden treasure way that reminds me of david lynch but without being terrifying."
"Congratulations!" for your appearance on "Late Night Texas." You were GREAT and he was a very funny/clever host!!! I thoroughly enjoyed the interview!!!"
Late Night Texas is currently on a break working to find additional avenues to bring the show to the public. Stay tuned and keep an eye out for us in the future.
